Celeb Inspiration // Hilary Duff

Loving Hilary Duff at the moment. I have always been a fan of her when I was growing up and loved watching movies like Cinderella Story and Cheaper by the Dozen. Now that I am a bit older I have a different love for her; it may have something to do with that massive rock, envious womanly curves and that ADorable baby boy Luca!  Her maternity style was always stylish and now toting around Luca she again looks fab.

Here are a couple of my favourite looks from Hilary:

Hilary looked stunning on her wedding day, esp love this pic.

Her ADORABLE baby boy, Luca.

Spring Style // Cold Shoulder

We have just had a great weekend of weather and it has inspired me to get in the swing of Spring.  When thinking about Spring fashion all I can think is wearing floral, floaty dresses to a picnic in the park. Sounds a bit dreamy doesn't it? Even though I completely love wrapping up in my doona on a cold winters night, there comes a point when enough is enough. I think I am nearing that point rather quickly. I am uber excited to splash some tan on and bare some skin in preparation for the amazing Aussie summer.

Here are some great picks for the Spring Trend of Cold Shoulder dresses:

Great Spring pick for that Sunday Picnic in the Park. Get this great pick here.

About Me // About Billow // About Billowlove

About Me

Born and bred in the south-eastern suburbs of Sydney I always had a desire for all things stylish.  My amazing parents have told me stories of me telling them what my daily outfits would be all at the tender age of 2. Having always had big dreams, I grew up wanting to own my own company in the fashion industry.  I got my first fashion experience working in a family owned clothing company and loved the creativity that flowed. But as a young impressionable teen I was steered in the direction of a more dependable career.  After half a year travelling the globe I came back home to start building my career. For the last 4 years I have been working in a position with no creative outlet and last year I decided to do something to change that. I have always been interested in business operations for as long as I can remember. Big business idols of mine include Robert Kiyosaki, Bethanny Frankel, Donald Trump, Andrew Carnegie and so many more. So with the passion to go into business teamed with the longing to get creative, I created Billow.

About Billow

Billow provides women with affordable, stylish and quality flats. The idea for Billow started when I could not find any stylish, quality flats at an affordable price. When shopping both online and trawling Westfields I could only find cheap flats with quality that was not so great or expensive flats with great quality.
Then I set out to satisfy the middle market for ballet flats.  The Billow flat is made out of leather lining, leather upper with a rubber sole. Each flat is hand crafted and accessorised perfect to the corresponding leather colour. In the summer seasons Billow will offer chic sandals and summer flats.  Billow will retail from $50-$65 and be available online from late August.

About Billowlove

Billowlove blog and Billowlove Pinterest is all about sharing style and inspiring others. My blog and Pinterest accounts are not only about fashion and accessories, they incorporate everything that motivates and inspires me. Home/Party decorating and DIY projects are another love of mine.  As well as reading motivating quotes, so I try and incorporate all these loves into the Billowlove blog.
The Billowlove blog started in July and I have loved creating posters and posts for everyone to see. Although this is only early days I am learning lots and would love to hear from people as to what things they want to see or if there is anything that I can do better.

So feel free to let me know your thoughts.

Looking forward to sharing so much more with you!

Style Inspiration // Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad is a style icon of mine, her style is simple yet so chic.  Since her start in reality TV she has built her brand into a reputable go to style guide. I especially love her "The Beauty Department" site when I'm feeling a little less than inspired with my hair.

Just recently I saw Lauren in this great Maxi.

So with Summer coming up in Sydney, I thought what a great post to show you all some great Maxi's. I love to accessorise Maxi's with strappy sandals or sandal heels.  Pairing a maxi with boots or closed in pumps doesn't give you any length while wearing a strappy shoe elongates your line. For a day in the sun, take a wide flopping hat matching the print/colour of your maxi.

Here is a couple of my favourites:

August Street Frankie Dress - $159.99
Ladakah Dual Landscape Maxi - On Sale $59.99
Suboo Chilling in Zante Maxi Dress - $189

ASOS Maxi Dress with Triple Back Strap Detail - $48.93
Perfect blank canvas for accessorising! Bonds grey Maxi - $49.95
Suboo Santa Fe Maxi Frill Dress - $245

Love! Pick of the Bunch! Aqua Kimono Maxi Dress  - $195.72

Style Trend // Birds

Here is Sydney the countdown is on, only 1 more month of this bitterly cold winter! This month I will bring you info on some winter style and also a lot of inspiration for the spring season starting in September.  I will also bring you some updates on Billow shoes and about me..

So to kick things off for August is a spring seasonal trend // Birds.

Birds were a big trend on the catwalks for the upcoming season from abstract prints to 3 dimensional birds and from Marc Jacobs to Kenzo.  I am a big fan of the subtle bird print for the Spring season but I don't know that rocking a bird figurine on your shoulder would suit walking the shops on a Sunday.  To transform that idea to something more suitable for everyday wear, why not go on the hunt for some bird inspired accessories.  Owls are super cute on a long chain necklace as are swallows on a smaller chain necklace.  See what I have come up with below:
